The National Assembly Legislative Aides Forum (NASSLAF) has urged President Muhammadu Buhari and Members of the National Assembly to dialogue towards the speedy passage of the 2016 Budget.
The Chairman, Caretaker Committee of NASSLAF, Sam Melaye told journalists in Abuja, that the trading of blames between the legislative and executive arms of government should be a thing of the past for Nigeria to move forward.
Melaye also urged the leadership of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), the president and National assembly, not to allow political interests water down the integrity of the National Assembly, especially the Senate.
He assured the members that the congress would serve as a turning point for the forum to reorganize itself to better the careers and further benefit members.
The congress was well attended by members of the Parliamentary Staff Association (PASAN), National Assembly Commission among others.
