The British Embassy, Riyadh has a vacancy for the role of a PA to Director UKTI, Grade A2 (L) position.
UKTI:
UKTI is the British Government’s trade and investment development organisation. We work with UK based businesses to ensure their success in international markets, and encourage overseas companies to bring their high quality investment to the UK.
The Trade & Investment team is part of UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the UK Government’s trade development organisation. The aim of UKTI is to enhance the competitiveness of companies in the UK through overseas trade and investments; and attract a continuing high level of quality foreign direct investment into the UK.
The main duties and responsibilities of the jobholder include:
- PA support to UKTI Director - including arranging meetings & calls, diary organisation, official transport bookings and general support.
- UKTI Riyadh Events Manager – Lead on customer relationships for commercial event bookings at the British Embassy. Assist with event arrangements including bookings, guest lists and invites, catering, IT support and general requirements.
- UKTI Finance Support – Assist with budget profiling and amendments, procurement and receipt of goods and services.
- UKTI Office Manager – liaison with Corporate Services team for office requirements (stationary, IT and telephonic requests, office maintenance requests). UKTI IT custodian.
Essential:
- Strong IT skills and literacy in Microsoft office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven organisational ability.
Desirable:
- Experience in Events.
- Experience in handling budgets.
- Fluent in Spoken and written Arabic.

Working Hours and Remuneration:
The starting salary will be SAR 6716.66 per month inclusive of the Eid Bonus and the 25% housing allowance. An additional travel allowance of SAR 400 per month will also be payable.
Normal working hours for the Embassy are 08.00 to 15.00 Sunday to Thursday. This position is full-time, based on 35 hours per week.
The successful candidate will be subject to a 90 day probationary period.
Eligibility:
The position is only available to holders of Saudi residence permits or transferable Iqamas.
