We call this work – cultural relations. Aptis is one of three Exams teams in the English and Exams strategic business unit (E&E SBU), the others being IELTS and Exams Distribution. This role is one of a team of 10 people.   The work of the Aptis team is about developing capacity and capability in testing and assessment and helping build world authority in this area.    Aptis is the British Council’s first fully owned global English test that has been launched in August 2012. The aim of developing Aptis was to produce a flexible test for use by corporate businesses, educational institutions, NGOs and Ministries of Education who wish to benchmark the language levels of their students or employees. It is part of an on-going strategy to integrate our work in English, allowing us to offer an end-to-end solution for organisations’ English development needs; perfectly complementing IELTS and our other work in English.  THE OPPORTUNITY:This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with Aptis or similar examining experience to join the Exams department as the Aptis Examiner Network Manager.  The purpose of this role is the management of the examiners for Aptis. The role ensures we have a sufficient pool of Aptis examiners to meet our needs and includes recruiting, training, standardising and monitoring examiners as well as ensuring timely and reliable Aptis test results.
